This, of course, is only one dimension of the crisis/normalization process. The final stage (normalization), signifies the acceptance by the United States of Russian and Chinese military dominance (formalized by a treaty). Given current preparations for war in Korea, stage three (crisis) will likely result from a military clash in the Far East. It naturally comes on the heels of a societal demoralization (decades in the making). A divide and conquer game is now underway inside the United States which is calculated to produce instability. “Polarization, of course, is no accident. If all these supposed problems are solved, where will future politicians get their fodder to feed hatred to masses who will bring them to power?” What they fail to realize is that politics is literally a nasty business that is fed by the masses’ hatred and, once in power, that business never thrives by changing the way the business is done. Furthermore, they vote for and side with their oppressors thinking that voting for racist and supremacist candidates will change this ugly reality. In doing so, they miss the chance of working together with a significant number of allies for real change. This fact, sadly, instead of making them unite with other marginalized and oppressed American employees, it makes them unload their rage and disappointment on the already suffering low-income, refugee, or poor ethnicities, accusing them of ‘stealing our jobs’, or ‘destroying our country and values’. Many White people never get a piece of the pie. “Yet, we must remember that even White privilege is not distributed evenly among Whites. The faith a movement proclaims doesn’t count: what counts is the hope it offers.” Everyone is heretical, everyone is orthodox. The recovery of the outcasts demanded a reduction of the privileges of the powerful, so the excluded who became aware of their exclusion had to be branded as heretics, whatever their doctrine. Excluded as they were from the flock, all of them were ready to hear, or to produce, every sermon that, harking back to the words of Christ, would condemn the behaviour of the dogs and shepherds and would promise their punishment one day. “The excluded when on living on the fringe, like lepers, of whom true leper are only the illustration ordained by god to make us understand this wondrous parable, so that in saying “lepers” we would understand “outcast, poor, simple, excluded, uprooted from the countryside, humiliated in the cities” but we did not understand the mystery of leprosy has continued to haunt us because we have not recognized the nature of the sign. Once the outside organizations had divided and conquered, they were then able to plunder the country’s resources.” This made the targeted countries highly vulnerable to international control. The same organizations had the formula down pat: they indirectly started civil wars in mineral-rich regions by providing arms to opposing local factions, and sometimes even helped to create famines, in order to destabilize African countries. Nine knew it was Omega’s plan, and that of other greedy organizations, to siphon as much wealth as they could out of vulnerable Third World countries, especially in Africa. The continent’s almost unlimited resources were the very reason foreigners had meddled in African affairs for the past century or more. He thought it unfortunate Africa had never been able to compete on a level playing field. Like the despots who ruled much of the region, and the foreign governments who propped them up, he knew there was more than enough wealth in Africa’s mineral resources such as gold, diamonds and oil – not to mention the land that nurtured these resources – for every man, woman and child. Nine knew something the journalist obviously didn’t: Africa was the most abundantly resourced continent on the planet bar none. Africa did not, nor did it ever have, limited resources. He considered such statements an absolute joke. “As the seemingly well-intentioned French journalist spoke about Africa’s scarcity and its limited resources, Nine smiled to himself almost condescendingly.
